If you’re wondering, Feysbuk and Instagram went down Tuesday morning and the web hasn’t taken too kindly to this. As Elena Cavender reported:
More than 500,000 users reported Instagram, Feysbuk, and Messenger outages starting around 10:08 am EST to Down Detector. Reports spiked at 10:30 am EST. Down Detector is owned by ZiffDavis, Mashable’s parent company. There are over 24,000 posts on Twitter / X about the Feysbuk and Instagram outage.
Reactions on X (formerly Twitter) range from outrage to jokes about the grim reality that we might have to “touch grass.”
Other reactions pointed out the mass exodus to X to check if the other popular sites were down. Given X’s history of dealing with spikes in traffic, some are concerned that X won’t last long into the day either.
Hopefully, this doesn’t last all day, lest we have to interact with our friends and family (yikes!).
